The Safety Word

The Safety Word are an independent electronic duo from Melbourne, Australia, blending synth-pop, trip-hop, dream pop and atmospheric electronica into immersive sonic landscapes.

Formed by John Rousvanis (vocals, guitar) and Simon Quinn (synths, programming and production), the band's music moves between intimate songs, cinematic soundscapes and driving electronic rhythms. Their catalogue explores themes of hope, relationships, self-discovery and the search for meaning, often balancing moments of darkness with optimism and light.

Whether performing as a duo or collaborating with guest musicians and producers from around the world, The Safety Word have built a diverse body of work spanning synthwave, ambient, downtempo, progressive house and experimental electronica.
