The Sable Society with Maree Buscke

I am Maree Buscke and this is The Sable Society. The Sable Society is a place for yarn lovers (or craft collectors) who have 'Stash Acquired Beyond Life Expectancy' colloquially known as SABLE. In my case I love collecting yarn, knitting yarn, crochet and weaving yarn, making yarn, shopping for yarn, admiring yarn, fondling yarn - I love yarn!
I discuss my love of yarn and indulge in confessions of being a self professed Sable after 18 years in the yarn manufacturing and retailing industry. I have now pulled back from the day to day of the yarn business, yet I still continue to run Knit August Nights, a retreat held in historic Ahuriri, Napier New Zealand since 2009 and launching in 2026 is Knit Australia Nights.
