Hey, I'm Chris Shanku. I look for the moments history skips over because I've had a few of my own that no record kept. I'm a dad to a young kid, an avid storyteller, and a StorySLAM winner for The Moth. I'm in recovery, which means I've had to get good at focusing on things I used to look away from, like myself. I spent a long time feeling like my story was unique, until human connection saved me. That's the part of any story I care about most - not the event, the person inside it.

Each story is researched, written, and curated by me from named, published sources - the voice you hear is mine. My AI agent handles the illustrations and the production work so I have more time to spend with my son, partner, and her kids. Nothing gets or will ever get published without my approval. Technology is best when it enables human connection.
