The Poole Passion Play

The Poole Passion first performed in 2009. With a play entitled "Through The Eyes Of A Child", written and directed by Sharon Muiruri Coyne.
The play received huge acclaim and was featured on BBC "Songs of Praise" in 2016.
The Poole Passion are a diverse intergenerational group made up of both amateur and professional artists who come together to dramatically re-enact the last days of Jesus Christ every 2 years at Easter.
Sharon's final production was in 2018. Images of this can be seen in the compilation video "The Poole Passion Play" on this channel.  Sharon has handed the baton over to Ann Balaam who has written a new script and will direct her production of The Poole Passion, entitled "Footsteps" in April 2022.
