The Parents' Place of Maryland

The Parents’ Place of Maryland (PPMD) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower families as advocates and partners in improving education and health outcomes for ALL children with disabilities, special healthcare needs and impacted by behavioral health challenges. As Maryland’s Special Education, Health, and Behavioral Health Information Center, PPMD provides one-on-one family peer support, trainings, resources, and information to Maryland families. PPMD’s staff and board are completely made up of parents and family members of children with disabilities, special healthcare needs, and behavioral health challenges. PPMD believes in a “families helping families” philosophy.
