The Number Lab | Learning for the Long-View

The Number Lab works with educators and schools to advance the teaching and learning of mathematics through professional development opportunities that support meaningful shifts in content, culture, and pedagogy. Our work is to assist teachers in presenting mathematics in a way that children experience it as an ever-growing, coherent body of knowledge founded upon essential, connective understandings—resulting in deep mathematical understanding, a positive mathematical identity, and strong reasoning skills. 

We offer both in person and online practice-based professional development for K-8 educators while also operating a learner-centered micro school, Long-View, where educators can observe and better understand the theories and practices of our math learning framework.
