The Neighbourhood Blues Band

With the "Neighbourhood Blues Band", the name is the story: the three founding members (Patrick Shurety, Andreas Starken, Christian Lund) live in a neighborhood in the west of Bielefeld and decide one summer evening in 2016 to meet for a jam session above the rooftops of Bielefeld. A little later, the band was born and soon completed with Volkmar Arnecke on bass, making it the four blues rockers of the "Neighbourhood Blues Band". Since 2024, they have had blues harp player Dirk "Juke" Oppenhoff from Paderborn as a guest musician at selected concerts.

The band interprets blues classics, rarely heard gems and their own pieces with inspiring power. Over the years, the band has become a live insider tip.

They are available in loud and quiet versions, because in addition to the electric version, the "NBB" can also bring a complete acoustic set into living rooms and onto the smallest stages in the nation. Do you love blues? Then you can't miss the "Neighbourhood Blues Band".
