THE NANJO ROOM | JOHN NANJO

Welcome to THE NANJO ROOM.

I’m John Nanjo, based in Tokyo, Japan.

I show foreign visitors the side of Tokyo that most guidebooks, Google Maps, and social media never fully explain.

Real Tokyo.
Japanese culture.
Tokyo nightlife.
Local experiences.
People, relationships, and the unwritten rules of Japan.

I speak Japanese, and AI helps me share my stories and ideas with people around the world.

From Shinjuku, Shibuya and Ikebukuro to places tourists rarely discover, THE NANJO ROOM explores what Tokyo is really like after dark.

If you’re planning a trip to Tokyo and have a question about Japan, Tokyo culture, nightlife, or local experiences, ASK JOHN.
