The Music School of Delaware

The Music School of Delaware, founded in 1924, is the only statewide, accredited, community music school in the nation, serving residents of Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland. 

A community resource open to the public, the Music School employs nearly 90 expert educators and offers standard-setting instructional programs for people of all ages and levels at Branch locations in Wilmington, DE and Milford, DE and satellite locations throughout the state. 

In addition, over 100 public performances annually (many of them free) offer opportunities for all to enjoy outstanding music in a variety of styles and genres. A financial assistance program is available to ensure music excellence for everyone.

As part of our distance learning efforts, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have developed several free and modest fee-based online music lessons, classes and events to ensure that our entire community may still engage in meaningful musical experiences even virtually.
