The Mother Thing / hosted by Laura Metzler

Welcome to The Mother Thing the podcast for working moms who are doing approximately 87 things at once — and still wondering if they’re doing enough.
I’m your host, Laura Metzler, and each week (maybe), I have conversations with with working mothers to talk about the stuff we don’t always say out loud: the mom guilt, the impossible mental load, trying to get it all done, figuring out what to outsource, asking for help, building a village — and, maybe most importantly, letting go of the idea that we’re supposed to do everything ourselves.
These are honest conversations about work, motherhood, identity, ambition, marriage, family, and all the messy, beautiful ways we’re trying to make it work.
Because there’s no perfect formula for being a working mom. There’s just your life, your priorities, your people — and figuring out what works for you.
So grab a water and let’s get into it.
