The Hygiene Scientist | Dr. Luisa Javier

Clean is a feeling. Proving it is a system.

I'm Dr. Luisa Javier. I did my PhD at KAUST on biofilm in desalination, measuring something you can't see. Today I'm the founder of WAYAKIT. We make cleaning, disinfection and maintenance products for industry, from airlines to food plants, and bring that same technology home, for families and their pets.

Why The Hygiene Scientist? Most cleaning advice is hacks: spray this, mix that. Almost nobody asks how we know it worked. That question is my job, and I'll teach you to ask it too.

I'm Mexican and I've lived in Saudi Arabia for more than ten years. Both homes bring me the same doubts in different clothes: the kitchen, the water tank, the hotel room. Sometimes I answer by measuring, sometimes by comparing, sometimes by reading the study for you. I always tell you where the answer came from.

New videos every Saturday from January 2027, with Spanish and Arabic subtitles.
