the harris project is THE grassroots movement dedicated to co-occurring disorders (COD), the combination of 1 or more mental health challenges & substance misuse/addiction. Millions have COD, together we can save lives & improve outcomes by bringing COD: out of the shadows & into the light! 

CODA (Co-Occurring Disorders Awareness) is the harris project’s innovative peer-driven prevention program that highlights paths to substance misuse/addition, and empowers youth to be positive decision-makers, seek early intervention, connect to friends/peers, and be a link to resources #CODAConnects #BeTheLink. 

the harris project also advocates for an integrated approach to treatment to meet the complex needs of teens and young adults with COD. This provides the best opportunity to sustain recovery.

A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the harris project was founded in loving memory of Harris Blake Marquesano who died by accidental overdose on 10.23.2013. Harris was 19, and had COD.
