The Goddard Church

The Goddard Church (TGC) has a long and rich history that spans over 150 years. It began in 1875 when a retired Methodist minister gathered a small flock in the old Attica School House, a humble building in the vast Kansas prairie. The Civil War had ended only ten years prior, and the railroad was still carving its way to the West. For three years, the faithful met in the schoolhouse until they built their own sanctuary. The current church was erected almost a century later, in 1971, after the previous building was destroyed by arsonists. The Goddard Church is more than just a place of worship; it is also a source of hope and help for many. It runs the only food pantry in the area, as well as a second-hand clothing store staffed by church volunteers. It also offers various programs and ministries throughout the week, reaching out to people of all ages and backgrounds. TGC's mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ who worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly.
