Domestic Violence Project at Urban Justice Center

DVP considers intimate partner violence nothing less than a human rights violation. Since our founding in 2003, we have marshalled the combination of legal and advocacy services necessary to secure justice and a stable, dignified quality of life for vulnerable New Yorkers. DVP is unique in its comprehensive approach based on the fundamental belief in the dignity and worth of every human being. This means that we help survivors to not only address their immediate needs, but also to rebuild their lives both practically and emotionally, so they can move forward with the access to the skills and resources they need to keep themselves and their children strong, stable, and independent for the long term.
