The Charge Ups

The Charge Ups captivate audiences with infectious songs, a swaggy wardrobe, a hyper-energy live show, fun choreography, and ingenious mashups. The band “effortlessly meshes metal riffs with pop-punk choruses” to electrify rock fans of any persuasion.

Originally formed in Pittsburgh, PA as “Chip & The Charge Ups” in 2018 by the unique family team of Chip Dominick & then 16-year old Maleena Dominick, the band later added powerhouse drummer, Nolan Allen, to round out their thunderous sound. Chip & The Charge Ups released four albums and has been voted “Best Rock Band” once, “Best Punk Band” twice, and “Best Alternative Band” four times in the Iron City Rocks Pittsburgh Music Awards.

The Charge Ups made history in September 2026 by becoming the first band to simultaneously release solo albums from each member PLUS a full band album. That full band album is their “crown jewel” – a masterpiece entitled “King for a Day."
