The Caravan of Souls

A podcast from the road: strangers, friends old and new, and the stories that made them who they are. In between, I share what I'm noticing, learning, and still trying to figure out too.

A caravan moves. People join from different places, travel together for a stretch, share something, and sometimes, move on. The conversations go beneath the biography: the hopes, contradictions, grief, humor, and things people haven't found words for yet.

Expect honest conversations, a fair amount of laughter, ideas followed further than usual, and the occasional question that stays with you.

I’m Scott Bain. After 23 years as an urban firefighter and paramedic, I now travel the world with what those years taught me, exploring what it means to be human. This is where I think out loud.

Field Notes — short, unscripted thoughts recorded on walks
Solo episodes — one question, followed as far as it goes
Conversations — sitting down with people to hear their stories

New stops wherever the road goes.
