The Bright and the Curious — Dyslexia & Literacy

Specialist literacy and dyslexia support for children aged 3–18.

I'm Sarah — a specialist literacy teacher and assessor. This channel is for
parents trying to work out why reading or spelling isn't clicking for their
child, and especially for families raising and schooling children across more
than one language.

Most of what I cover here comes from questions parents actually ask me:

• Is this dyslexia, or is it the language?
• What does a literacy assessment tell you — and what does it not?
• Why can my child read but not spell?
• What actually helps a reluctant reader at home?

I work one-to-one in person on the Lisbon coast, and online with families
anywhere in the world.
