The British Association of Private Dentistry

The British Association of Private Dentistry was formed in April 2020 during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Private dentists attempting to ensure they could provide emergency care for their patients during the lockdown were faced with the reality that they had been left completely unrepresented by existing healthcare structures and professional bodies. With nowhere to turn, groups of private practitioners from across the UK came together via the then largely unfamiliar ‘Zoom’ platform, and the BAPD was born.
