The Bangalore Gayana Samaja, founded on August 5, 1905, is the oldest institution of its kind in India, dedicated to classical music. It owes its birth to the vision of its founding members, led by Sri. K. Ramachandra Rao, the first Honorary Secretary. Over the years, it has consistently upheld the tradition of classical music, demonstrating its enduring strength in shaping public taste in the region.

Today, the Bangalore Gayana Samaja continues its mission of promoting classical music from its established building, carrying forward its rich legacy.
