THE BALABAN FILES

I’m a 23 year old civil engineering student obsessed with one simple question: What was it actually like to stand on the job site when humanity attempted to build the impossible?

On this channel, we travel across different eras of time and different corners of the world stepping directly into the boots of the engineers, master builders, and architects who made history.

From ancient Rome pouring volcanic concrete into a liquid swamp, to modern mega-skyscrapers defying gravity today we explore the brutal pressure, physical physics traps, impossible deadlines, and genius solutions behind building our world.

Behind every great monument, there is a struggle, a story, and a file waiting to be opened.

Subscribe and join me as we uncover the secrets of engineering through the eyes of the people who built it all.
