The Audit Office, New Zealand

The Audit Office aims to improve trust and confidence in the public sector. Under the mandate of the Controller and Auditor-General, the Office completes statutory audits of all public organisations (around 3300 annually) and carries out performance audits, inquiries, and other auditing and assurance services. Through this work, the Office provides Parliament and the public an independent view of how public organisations are operating and providing value for money.
