The Ancient USA

Welcome to The Ancient USA.

Centuries before any state lines were drawn, people here were shaping the land: raising earthworks along river valleys, carving symbols into canyon walls, building villages into cliffs and setting stone in patterns we still don't fully understand. Thousands of those places survive today across all fifty states.

We uncover the ancient sites in America that scientists still can't fully explain, one state at a time. Each episode walks you through a dozen of a state's most puzzling places: who likely built them, how old they really are, and why archaeologists still disagree. So far: Oklahoma, Utah, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, Arizona, Alabama, Florida, Ohio and more.

No hype and no invented answers. Just the evidence, the open questions, and the strange places that keep them alive.
