The Adult in the Room

The death of my father, in 2018, left me with a bit of an identity crisis. I always internally defined myself in terms of my relationship with him. He was my rudder, and now, in his absence, I am having to become my own, which I feel I should already have been, but here I am. This is all about me building my metaphorical rudder, while doing things like fixing my literal house, building and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, as well as trying to fill a role that my father played as my teacher and mentor and brain to pick, by reaching out to people who can help me satisfy my intellectual curiosity on all manner of topics (probably a lot of physicsy stuff though. Physicsy is too a word!) Anyway, this is my journey after realizing that I am now... The Adult in the Room.
