Parvez Hashmy is basically a civil engineer, until the year 1989, he was totally a non-religious person. He himself says he was a Muslim only, because he was born in a Muslim family. He read a translation of the Holy Quran on his mother’s demise in 1989. It was only after this that he started contemplating different spheres of this worldly life and discovered “God” as a result. Thereafter, he became an earnest student of the Quran and started spending most of his time on its study, which later on was converted to in-depth research.
