About Tara:
Tara was a behavioral scientist. She began her career developing programs for youth-serving nonprofits. After twenty years working in evidenced-based evaluation and program design, she opened a boutique research firm. 

About Chris:
Chris Batista owns a sports event management company and a real estate company.

About the couple: 
Tara and Chris competed on opposing cross country teams in college. They raise chickens together.
