The Dish With Denise

As a registered nurse residing in the St. Louis, MO area with my husband and three daughters (22, 20, and 15). I have more than 25 years of experience in varying roles, with a focus for the past 9 years on patient advocacy and education within the limb loss/limb different community, working with Freedom Innovations (now Proteor USA), the Amputee Coalition, and AOPA.  I am also a member of the Amputee Coalition’s Scientific and Medical Advisory Committee.
Along with my professional experiences, I have 31 years of personal experience of being an above the knee amputee.  I am a Certified Peer Visitor, and a legislative Lead Advocate for the limb loss community.  With my passion for patient advocacy, mission is to use my personal and professional experiences to advance education, care, and opportunities for those living with limb loss.
