The Missing Verse

When the New Testament authors wrote their letters, they assumed their audience already understood the references.

From Jude’s warnings about fallen angels to Peter’s mention of Tartarus and Christ’s apocalyptic descriptions, the apostles frequently drew directly from the Book of Enoch and ancient Second Temple texts.

The Missing Verse is a historical and documentary channel dedicated to comparative biblical analysis. We examine the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Ge'ez traditions that shaped early Christian writings—connecting canonical verses with the ancient accounts that provide their original context.

📜 What we investigate:
• Direct quotes and parallels between the Apostles and ancient scrolls.
• Historical context of the Second Temple period.
• Uncovering what the earliest readers knew that modern readers missed.
