Climate Information
Location is zone 7b/8. So yeah, we get to plant tomatoes earlier than you, Iowa. Soils in the area are sometimes sandy, sometimes a clay loam. Deep soil (greater than a foot) is rare in the area. There are lots and lots of rots. The soil is usually alkaline, though some parts of the area do have acidic sand. We get frosts from November to April, but things warm up greatly in February/March. Rain is rare. The summers are hot.
