Teruko Imai

My Mother ran a small inn in the Japanese Countryside. Guests arrived with one small bag and left the same way and I grew up watching how she folded, wrapped and packed everything into half the space. I have lived in the United States for over 40 years now and I still pack the way she taught me.

Most people here were never shown this. It isn't your fault. You were sold a bigger suitcase and told to bring more, just in case.

On this channel I share the Japanese way to pack: carry-on only trips, folding that doesn't wrinkle, toiletries that never leak, the square of cloth that replaces half your bags and the small habits that make a long flight feel short. No gadgets you don't need. Just the old way and why it works.

New videos everyday. Tell me in the comments where you're traveling next.
