Ted Smith Photography

I work primarily in analogue black-and-white photography, creating both portraiture and longer-form photographic projects such as themed landscapes that explore darkness, memory and place.

My portrait work is made in collaboration with performers, musicians, professional creatives, designers and stylists. My long-term landscape projects are slower observations of the passage of time, also photographed entirely on medium format film.

Finalist of Film Photographer of the Year 2026. Curator of the "TRI THIS: 5 Rolls, 1 Vision" collaborative photography project, uniting 12 photographers from across the UK and the world, utilising film I was awarded for being finalist in aformentioned photography competition.
