In 2016 at 18 I decided I was tired of being 120lbs, I took a leap and joined the weightlifting class in school. The "coach" encouraged the class to harass and bully my friends and I for joining. He told one of the football players helping me "wasn't worth [his] time".
After I quit the class I kept lifting after school. I was made fun of for benching 65lbs for barely 12 reps. I told myself the gym will change my life if I push through the adversity. Now it is 2026 and I am 200lbs, have a 1,200 total, and work full time as an independent personal trainer. Join me on my journey and I will share some of the knowledge I've gained along the way.
