Talking of Elephants

There are some things we’re surprisingly bad at talking about.

Grief that doesn’t follow a death. Neurodivergence that doesn’t look the way we expect it to. Losses that don’t come with sympathy cards. Difficult conversations we avoid because we’re frightened of getting them wrong. And all the complicated human stuff that makes a mess of our nice, tidy theories.

That’s what Talking of Elephants is about.

We explore grief, loss, neurodivergence, therapy and communication, often questioning received wisdom and asking what ideas from psychology and research actually look like when applied to real people.

This channel is for anyone whose work involves other humans and who is curious about what might be going on underneath the obvious.

There are plenty of elephants.

We might as well talk about them.
