SUNDEW the band

The 2021 Australian indie rock scene saw the inception of SUNDEW and their gripping new sound. Hailing from the Sunshine Coast, the five-pieces’ unique sound reflects their laid-back coastal lifestyle. Their warm minimal sound mixed with melodic bass lines, and gritty lead guitar makes them comparable to groups such as The Growlers and Cage the Elephant. 

Members Nala Gleeson (Vocals), Roark Alberts (Guitar & Keys), Christian Butterworth (Lead Guitar), Sol Masters (Bass), and CJ Essen (Drums) all contribute to the songwriting process on their own and together as a group, allowing their musical influences like Fleetwood Mac, Neil Young and Ocean Alley shine through.

Having played shows between Sunshine Coast and Byron Bay, SUNDEW has already gained a strong following. With their forthcoming release of first EP ‘My Patience’, they are set to expose their music to listeners in Australia and abroad.
