Stumpknocker's Adventures

Stumpknocker Adventures is about practical vanlife, backpacking, and living well with less.

After 40+ years in the full-time workforce, I chose a different path — full-time van living and backpacking in my self-built Dodge Grand Caravan camper. Here I explore trails, backroads, and simple ways to live a meaningful life. You’ll find vanlife journeys, backpacking adventures, gear insights, and honest reflections from the road. This isn’t about luxury rigs or expensive setups — it’s about minimalist travel, solo adventure, and proving you don’t need much to live fully at any age.

If you enjoy hiking, vanlife, and practical outdoor living on a budget — especially if you're considering a simpler life later in life — you’re in the right place.

Thank you for being part of the journey.
