South Signal Lab

South Signal Lab is about electronic instruments in hardware and software: DIY Eurorack, synthesizer modules, software synthesizers, audio tools, embedded systems and firmware.

I design and build instruments from the ground up: from the first breadboard to finished modules, from DSP prototypes to plugins. Schematics, PCB layout, STM32 firmware, audio DSP, bring-up, measurements and debugging.

This channel documents the engineering behind each project: the decisions, the trade-offs and the things that don't work the first time. Hardware and source code of the DIY modules are published openly on GitHub.

Expect project demos, workbench sessions, firmware and DSP deep dives, plugin development and hardware tests.

The finished instrument is only half the story. The other half is why it ended up the way it did.

Hardware. Code. Measurements. Decisions.
