Sounds Jazz Club

Sounds Jazz Club, Brussels' world-renowned live music venue, closed down in March 2020. For almost 35 years, the club played an essential role in the history of jazz in Brussels and gave a pathway for the developing careers of numerous Belgian and international jazz artists.

The venue is now managed by the Buen Vivir and Sounds Live non-profit organisations (ASBLs under Belgian law). Together they are taking over, on an arm's length basis, this monument of Brussels' cultural life.

The role of Sounds Live will be to feature the broad diversity of Belgian and international jazz with 4 concerts every week (160 concerts per year), including jam sessions and residencies, with both newcomers and well-established musicians. Guests will be offered high quality, locally-sourced bio food and drink in a welcoming atmosphere focussed on listening to and discovering jazz music.
