I have spent over 15 years training in Kung Fu and the internal fighting arts, beginning in California with Praying Mantis Kung Fu and Yang Style Tai Chi, then sharpening my foundation in Seattle under Andrew T. Dale through intensive study of Chen Style Tai Chi and Bagua. In 2007, I relocated to Beijing, China, where I lived and trained for 8 years under masters Zhang Wei Dong and Liu Zu Guang, forging real martial skill through disciplined daily practice, conditioning, and partner work. I became the first foreigner awarded a Shuai Jiao Coach’s Certificate in China, competed in tournaments and internationally, and co-founded the Guang Wu Shuai Jiao Association to help carry forward authentic Chinese martial arts.
