Smart Yak

Smart Yak tells the story of the people who came before us: how ancient humans worked, loved, slept, ate and survived, and what their lives quietly reveal about yours.

Every episode is built on real research: archaeological digs, ancient DNA studies, and the work of anthropologists who lived alongside the last hunter-gatherers on Earth. Sources are listed in the description of every video, so you can check everything yourself.

Why did hunter-gatherers work fewer hours than you? How did people find love without apps, cities or strangers? What did they do all day, all winter, all night? If it's a question about the life you think is "normal", we go back 50,000 years to answer it.

New videos every week.
