St. Louis Water Garden Society

The St. Louis Water Garden Society (SLWGS) was established in 1990 as a way for local water gardeners and fish enthusiasts to meet and to share resources and information.

Our organization attracts members and guests from the St. Louis Missouri metropolitan area and beyond. Each June, our pond tour - affectionately dubbed "Pond-O-Rama" - is well-attended by locals and tourists alike. Our monthly meetings are open to the public and often feature guest speakers. Most of all, we enjoy spending time together learning about our hobby and admiring the outcome of our gardening labor.

The society is honored to be entrusted with the care and keeping of the beautiful water lily ponds in Forest Park (Voted #1 City Park in 2023, USA TODAY 10 Best Readers' Choice). Each year, a team of volunteers carefully plans and organizes the planting. We maintain these ponds throughout three seasons and take pride in the joy they bring to visitors from all over the world.
