"SLUGFEST IN THE TRENCHES - Tales of an Anti-Corruption Activist". My name is William Dau a grassrots anticorruption activist for the last 30 years based in Cartagena, Colombia (though I also considered myself a New Yorker). After having eleven (11) mayors in just eight (8) years due to corruption I was elected to served as mayor of Cartagena in 2020 to 2023 being the first one to serve his full four-year term in more than one decade, thus returning a sense of institutionality to the city.
