Simon Says Go Fishing

I’m Simon, documenting the true grit of UK fishing—straight from the deck of my city-centre narrowboat.

My home is moored right where the fish are. I’m out to prove you don't need the latest, most expensive gear to catch fish. Using budget kit, Facebook Marketplace bargains, and Temu gear, I'm reviving classic, old-school tactics to target the elusive specimen fish in our heavily overlooked urban canals and marinas.

Expect the honest highs of a bend in the rod, the cozy reality of life on the cut, and crystal-clear underwater footage from beneath my hull.

What to expect:
• Narrowboat & Canal Life: Stealth sessions off the stern/bow & urban canal adventures.
• Budget vs. Fish: Real-world testing of cheap gear and marketplace bargains.
• Old-School Tactics: Reviving traditional, time-tested methods that still haul fish.
• Sub-Surface Secrets: See exactly what's happening under the boat.
