Sıfırıncı Sınıf Social Sciences Association

Sıfırıncı Sınıf is an independent, non-profit social sciences association dedicated to advancing public engagement with the social sciences. Founded by students and alumni of Middle East Technical University (METU), we bring together scholars, researchers, students, and everyone interested in the social sciences through an open platform for learning, dialogue, and critical inquiry. We believe that the social sciences should extend beyond the boundaries of academia and become an active part of public life. Our mission is to make academic knowledge more accessible, encourage critical thinking, and foster open, informed public dialogue.Through various academic content, we connect leading scholars from Türkiye and around the world with a wider public.

As an independent civil society organization, we believe knowledge should be accessible to everyone. For this reason, all of our educational content is freely available.
