ShroomID

Learn to identify wild mushrooms, one species at a time. ShroomID makes short identification guides for the mushrooms people look up most: what to check on the cap, gills and stem, where and when each one grows, and the lookalikes that get people into trouble.

The photos in every guide come from foragers and naturalists, credited in the video's description.

Identify mushrooms from a photo with the ShroomID app, free to download:

No video or app can tell for certain whether a mushroom is safe to eat. Never eat a wild mushroom identified only with a video or an app. Always check with a local expert or mycological society.
