Short Tandem Repeats The band

SHORT TANDEM REPEATS are short pieces of repeating DNA in our genome. Repeating, but unique as a whole… That is exactly what you can expect from the coverband "Short Tandem Repeats". With a mix of well-known pop & rock covers they build a unique party.

The repertoire consists of popular songs from '60s to Now: from King Elvis to Kings of Leon, from ABBA to Adele, from Bowie to Bono, from Muse to Bruce, from The Buggles to The Beatles, from Robbie to Franz Ferdinand and from AC/DC to Green Day.

The band has its origin in the Biotechnology program at Wageningen University. At a party in 2006, these friends looked at each other and, to their surprise, discovered that all elements to form a band were present: Arnoud on drums, Marc plays the bass, Patrick and Rob for screaming guitars, Giovanni on Keys and Sjors accounts for the vocals.
