SHELAMÁ — Center for Contemplative Studies is a space devoted to studying the sayings of Jesus of Nazareth within their Aramaic context and their formulation in the Syriac tradition.

We know these words through our own language and believe we understand their meaning. Yet when we observe their original linguistic structure, their roots, and their internal relationships, a depth may emerge that translation does not always fully convey.

This channel brings together podcast episodes, audiovisual clips, and study materials guided by a rigorous, sober, and contemplative approach. We do not seek to teach Aramaic, offer self-help content, or replace theology or exegesis. We seek to approach the form of the word, understand it more deeply, and learn to inhabit it.

SHELAMÁ: not only to listen to the word, but to inhabit it.
