ShavraMD | Shannon Ariel Avraham, MD

Medicine can be complicated. Understanding it shouldn't have to be.

I'm Shannon Ariel Avraham, MD, a Technion-trained physician and anesthesia resident in Israel. On ShavraMD I explain anesthesia, surgery and recovery in plain language, along with the everyday health habits that affect how well you do around an operation.

What you'll find here:
- What actually happens during anesthesia
- How to prepare for surgery: fasting, coffee, medications, GLP-1 drugs, supplements, smoking, alcohol
- What to expect during recovery
- How to tell useful health information from convincing-sounding claims

Every video covers what the research shows, where there's uncertainty, and what to ask your own medical team.
