Second-Generation Voices of the Holocaust

Welcome to the You Tube channel for our book The Ones Who Remember: Second-Generation Voices of the Holocaust. 
Irrespective of our parents' disclosure of their World War II Holocaust experiences, we, the authors in the second generation, absorbed our parents’ sorrow and anxieties. As we began to share the unique path they forged we drew meaning from this history,  and learned to feel compassion for our parents and ourselves. Each narrative offers its own compelling view of our individual journeys to find our place in the world. And, at the same time, each one of us reveals universal truths for all of humanity to remember and with which you will identify. Issues of attachment and separation, tragedy and courage, inclusion, and exclusion are themes that reverberate from parents to children to grandchildren.
