The Orchestra of St. Sebastian's College

The Orchestra of St. Sebastian's College, Moratuwa, established in 2017, is a beacon of musical excellence and innovation within the college. Composed of talented young musicians, the orchestra quickly became a platform for showcasing the rich musical heritage and diverse talents of its members. The orchestra's grand debut at MAA: Birth of Music on May 26, 2018, showcased technical proficiency and the emotional connection music fosters between performers and audiences.

The Orchestra, renowned for its diverse instrumentation, is characterised by a string section, a rich foundation of violins, violas, cellos, and double basses, and other instruments like woodwinds, brass, percussion, and keyboard, ensuring unique and memorable performances.

The Orchestra remains committed to nurturing its members' musical talents and bringing joy to audiences through the universal language of music, ensuring that the legacy of MAA: Birth of Music and future performances endure for years to come.
