Midnight at the Manchineel

The Manchineel tree is one of the most toxic trees in the world. Its sap burns and its fruit can kill you. In law, the phrase “fruit of the poisonous tree” means evidence gathered through illegal means is tainted. 

A poisonous tree grows fruit that harms. 

This metaphor reaches beyond the courtroom.  Unchecked abuses of power poison our communities, our institutions, and our trust in justice. Midnight at the Manchineel aims to research and explose such abuses.

To start out, this channel will focus on evidence from Moscow, Idaho. This case was never fully public in the way our Constitution requires, which has opened up the potential for abuses of power and a miscarriage of justice.
