The Blue Barn Farm to Ranch Restoration

Hidden in the peaceful woods of Finlayson, MN, the Blue Barn property is our 40 acre slice of countryside – home to rolling pastures, wooded hogbacks, and abundant wildlife like turkey, deer, and even bear.

For more than a century, this barn — and the land around it — stood as a quiet reminder of the people who built their lives here. Weathered boards, worn paths, and old fence lines all telling the same story: this was once a working farm with a purpose.

Now, we’re bringing that purpose back. Piece by piece, we’re restoring not just a centennial barn, but an entire farmstead — transforming it into a functional ranch and gathering place for the next generation. Every episode, we uncover the past, rebuild what time has worn down, and breathe new life into the buildings, the land, and the history they hold.

This is the restoration of a farm reborn as a ranch… and the future we’re building from the ground up.
